The Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation is dedicated to philanthropic pursuits that will enhance and sustain quality healthcare and community wellness initiatives throughout our region. In an effort to address multiple objectives, the Foundation's Board of Trustees embarked on a $6.6 million dollar capital campaign in Fall 2011 that included a $4.1 million dollar earmark for the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM).
Through the early and generous gifts of some 200 individuals and businesses in our community, the Foundation has reached 63% of the goal for the college of medicine. To date, more than $2.5 million dollars in private funds has been given in support of ACOM and will be used to enhance the medical training experience and help underwrite new programs that will benefit the future needs of the community.
